GCC’s comprehensive capabilities include commercial and residential construction, civil engineering, earthmoving, building refurbishment, demolition, asbestos removal, and the operation of a concrete batch plant. Additionally, we offer maintenance services for residential properties and government assets, supported by an onsite workshop for servicing a variety of vehicles and machinery.

Room to Breathe
Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
GCC is proud to have successfully completed 14 Room to Breathe (RTB) projects over the past 18 months, with ongoing work in this initiative aimed at enhancing living spaces in homes. This project involves various modifications, including:
- Addition of bedrooms and bathrooms
- Demolition of existing structures
- New builds
- Decking and fencing
GAHP 4
Groote Archipelago Housing Program
This project involved the demolition of two existing dwellings in the Little Paradise community and the construction of two new homes in accordance with GAHP design specifications.
Umbakumba Subdivision Project
Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
GCC has been contracted to develop a new residential subdivision in the remote community of Umbakumba.
This project includes:
- Demolition of existing structures and underground services
- Earthworks and grading
- Construction of new roads and drainage systems
- Installation of sewerage, potable water, electrical services, and Telstra fibre
- Landscaping
The project is currently underway and is on track for timely completion.
Senior Management Team

Glen Smith
GCC General Manager Glen’s role is to grow GEBIE Civil and Construction to increase its profit and to provide long-term training and jobs for local people. The profit is used to help fund GEBIE’s social objectives. Glen continually strives to improve quality and efficiency in the business and is responsible for providing a safe working environment for employees. A builder by trade, Glen has extensive construction experience in Australia and overseas including working on commercial construction in South East Queensland. He joined GEBIE Civil and Construction in 2015 as the Construction Manager and in November 2016 was appointed General Manager.
